IdleNest

Privacy policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

This policy explains what information IdleNest ("we", "us") collects when you visit idlenest.pages.dev and how it is used.

Information we collect

  • Game progress and settings (scores, streaks, theme) are stored in your own browser using local storage. They are not sent to us.
  • Anonymous play statistics: when you leave a game page we record which game was played and for how long. This is not linked to your name or account.
  • Votes and leaderboard entries: Would You Rather votes are counted anonymously. Weekly Tournament entries store the nickname you choose, your time and a random device ID so only your best time is kept.
  • Contact messages: if you use the contact form we keep your name, email and message to reply to you.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request data to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Short-lived hashed values of IP addresses may be used to limit spam.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or learn more at How Google uses cookies in advertising. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message.

Games in the arcade are provided by third-party distributors and may set their own cookies and show their own ads, under their own privacy policies.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, to count visits.

Children

Our games are family-friendly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Nicknames on leaderboards should not contain real names.

Your choices

You can clear game data at any time by clearing your browser's site data. To ask us to delete a contact message or leaderboard entry, email hello@idlenest.pages.dev.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
